An introduction to the superFUTURES ethos and pedagogy.

superFUTURES is a research-led unit at the Royal College of Art that focuses on spatialising futures. Our team of tutors and creative students collaborate to explore potential futures in architecture and interiors, in preparation for spatial insecurities ahead.

superFUTURES is a method and mindset aimed at expanding our imagination about how the world could be. We embrace diverse possibilities rather than just predicting outcomes.

We employ queer and feminist approaches to challenge traditional interior and architectural practices. We address tough issues, question norms, and create a safe space for exploration. Our goal is to look beyond the usual perspectives and actively learn from diverse experiences to enrich our work.
