This project explores what does it mean to wear the labour of another species through silk as a ritual object, tracing the entangled relationships between humans, Bombyx mori silkworms, and the socio-ecological landscape of Karnataka’s silk industry.

Karnataka, 2040, a mother and daughter narrate the story of an intergenerational heirloom that made their family aware of the living debt woven into the silk industry.
