The research is an exploration into human and non-human connections through the lens of astrology.

Film Logline: In the year 2030, astrology and psychology are mixed together, and birth charts become a “personality guide” for people and animals. Everyone uses these charts to understand each other better. One day, a stray cat is born in the afternoon, but its birth time is unknown. So, the family that adopts the cat uses the same birth time as their girl born that night.

Using astrology as a medium, this project challenges the anthropocentric cognitive paradigm and proposes the “astrological chart identity system” as an infrastructure for cross-species connection. Through fictional policies [mandatory registration of birth charts of all people and animals], narrative experiments [astrolabe mis-recording of stray cats], and technological experiments [Blender+AI animation], a multi-dimensional research framework is constructed:

[1] Data ethics: exploring the impact of digitising biological identity on privacy and equality;

[2] Eco-philosophy: deconstructing the power relationship between humans and non-humans using the astrolabe as a symbol;

[3] Social Design: to provide institutional prototypes for multi-species symbiosis in future cities through policy extrapolation. The project aims to go beyond the instrumental application of astrology and transform it into a critical research lens to promote public participation in bioethical debates and provide an alternative imagination for ecological governance in the context of the climate crisis - a planetary symbiosis protocol based on empathy rather than exploitation.
